Curry Subaru Bringing Warmth and Love to Patients! - Daniela V
Curry Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) to make a difference in the lives of people battling cancer in the Cortlandt, NY community. The Subaru Loves to Care® intiative provides 80 warm blankets, 50 kids’ craft kits and loving messages of hope and inspiration written by Subaru customers to patients fighting cancer at NY Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Patients are in the infusion center for hours at a time and these blankets keep them warm as they are going through treatments. The craft kits are a way to help patients and family members keep busy while they undergo treatment. On behalf of LLS and everyone fighting or in remission from cancer and the people who love them, huge and heartfelt thanks to Curry Subaru and the entire Curry Subaru family for joining the LLS mission to create a world without blood cancer.

Curry Subaru and The CTWHV Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) have partnered to make a difference in the lives of people battling cancer in the Cortlandt, NY community. The partnership called Subaru Loves to Care provides warm blankets, kids’ craft kits and loving messages of hope and inspiration written by Subaru customers to patients fighting cancer at NY Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. HUGE Thank you to Curry Subaru for donating 80 beautiful blankets and 30 craft kits to NY Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital to spread warmth to their patients. Love Promise Delivery - Daniela H
On July 11, 2017 LLS staff member Daniela Hincapie and Maryann Torres from Curry Subaru (Cortlandt Manor, NY) met with Director of Marketing Ellen Bloom and her colleague Karen from New York Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital to deliver 12 craft kits, 80 blankets and messages of hope. Ellen and her colleagues were honored to have been chosen for the second year in a row for this kind donation. The blankets are aimed to provide “warmth” to cancer patients undergoing treatment and we could not have found a better home for the blankets! Without Curry Subaru this would not have been possible; thank you guys for making a difference and putting a smile on someone’s face for your generosity and huge impact in your community!
Local Subaru delivers "warmth" to cancer patients - Courtney R
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was honored to join Curry Subaru for the delivery of their Love Promise Care Packages to New York Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. We delivered 100 blankets and 112 care cards (messages of hope) to their patients! The hospital staff couldn’t have been more thrilled to receive this donation. We were so excited to have the President of the hospital, Stacey Petrower, as well as the Vice President of Nursing, Bonnie Corbett, in attendance for the delivery. While we were bringing in all of the care packages, we saw a patient leaving from her treatment and decided to give her one of the care packages right away. She was so moved and appreciative to receive it, that one of the Radiology staff members came to take some boxes to immediately start distributing to patients in her office. It was such a moving experience to have the opportunity to see firsthand the genuine happiness these care packages brought to their patients. We want to give a huge thank you to Curry Subaru for making this all possible – and for having such a great impact in their community!
